How To Write A Book
By Leeanne Utiger Learning and knowing how to write a book, can be great knowledge to obtain, whether you plan to submit your book somewhere, or just do it for fun, or as a hobby. Maybe you want to know how to write a book, so you can in fact write one for your children, something you can give to them now, or maybe a book you want to leave them when you have gone.
A book has no limit to how many pages it can contain, so it is very easy and sometimes appropriate to start writing a book to leave to those you love, when you leave this world. You might think that sounds morbid, but in fact, its not, its hindsight and leaving something of yourself behind to be treasured and pored over time and time again. This can only be what I would call a very special book. Learning how to write a book of this magnitude is fairly easy, as a book like this, normally holds content of your life, what things you go through, how your days have been, what you have been doing, how you have been feeling. Kind of like a bibliography, yet not. Once you learn how to express yourself openly and honestly, writing a book like this will come to you very naturally. This is a book, that you can choose to write in intermittently, or every night if you so chose to. You are the person who is going to write it, so you set your own rules and boundaries for such a book.
Ok, now that we have gone into a little detail and described how you can write a book about yourself, I will now explain a bit about being able to write a book for a child to enjoy no. Possible a book, they can themselves learn to read, and then be able to read back to you. A book like this, really is easy to write, and is kept very basic and simple. You do not have to have many words per page, as bear in mind, you are creating and writing this book for a young child to read and read back to you when they are able. When you think about starting to write a book like this for a child, consider a topic. What would the child like to read about? or What is the child interested in, or actually like? This book could be something as simple as writing the book about the cat form next door who likes to sleep. As I said, you can write a book like this very quickly and very basically, and yet having a lot of effect from it.
Another type of book you could learn to write is a fiction chapter book for either a slightly older child, a teenager, or in fact an adult. It really does all depend on what age genre you are wanting to write for. As above, you will have to take the topic and the 'audience' into consideration, yet the basic rules of being able to write a book apply. Think of what you want to write your book about. Make sure you give thought to the beginning of the book, the middle of the book and how you want the book to end. Once you have all these three sections of the book sorted out and noted down on paper, piece the book all together and begin to write it all out in book form.
Once you think you have managed to write all you can, read over the book you have written and see if it needs any editing done to it. You may want to change a few things, or alter the story line within your book. On editing the book you have learnt to write, you may then choose to hand it to a friend or a family member for them to read. Ask them for their honest opinion on the book, and then go from there.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this document, you may be wanting to learn to write a book to try to make a profit from your writing, or simply just as a hobby, or maybe as a gift for another. It is entirely up to you what you do with your book once you have learnt how to write it and complete it.
Happy Writing!
