So you are pregnant, and you want to know how you can tell if your going to have a girl, or a boy.

Trying to tell if your having a boy or girl can be fun, but not always accurate. When you begin to try and tell if your having a boy or girl, always bear this in mind.

I would first like to say, that there are no guarantees in being able to tell if your having a boy or a girl. There are ways that you can get a fair idea if your having a girl or a boy, so I will tell how you can at least do this. But be careful not to fall into the trap of 'thinking' these ways will for sure tell you how to know what sex of baby your going to have. Many people have in fact fallen into this trap and then being on the occasion disappointed as they have given birth to the opposite sex they had begun to think they were going to have.

Firstly I will let you know that, the best way to learn how you can tell if your having a boy or a girl, is to ask your gynaecologist. He or she would be the person in the best position to tell you this information, but bear in mind, they too can be wrong or have seen what appeared to be a piece of anatomy in being able to determine the boy or girl gender, which was simply not there.

However, this professional can have a pretty good 'guess' at whether they think your having a boy or a girl. This is simply done through having an ultra sound scan at a period of at least 12 weeks or more into the pregnancy. Sometimes by chance the sex of the baby you are carrying can be determined. But as I said, this is still not a 100 percent guarantee. The professionals have been known to be wrong also.

Other ways you can learn how to tell whether your having a boy or a girl could be classed as old wives tales, yet have in the past proved their theory to be right, however, this could also once again just be coincidence.

So below, i have listed a few of these theories for you to try and tell whether your having a boy or a girl.

It is said that the lower you carry the baby during pregnancy, the more likelihood you are going to give birth to a baby boy, if you seem to be carrying the baby high during your pregnancy, it is believed you will give birth to a baby girl.

It is also said that, if the baby you are carrying appears to be very active, then you are more than likely going to give birth to a baby boy. However, as I mentioned above, these theories on knowing how to tell if you are having a boy or a girl are never a guarantee.

It is also believed that if you are craving sweet foods you are probably going to give birth to a baby girl, while if you are craving savoury or salty foods, you are more than likely going to have a baby boy. However, once again, there is no hard evidence or proof that this theory can be relied upon to tell if you are having a boy or a girl.

Apparently if you hold a wedding ring or needle over your tummy and it swings in a circular motion you are probably going to have a baby girl, while if it swings in a to and from motion you are going to have a baby boy.

A heart rate of less than140 per minute normally tells you that you are having a baby boy, while a heart rate of over 140 per minute is telling you that you will give birth to a baby girl. This theory on doing a study proved 91% accurate in male foetuses, while it proved to be 74% accurate in female foetuses.

These are a few ways you can try to tell whether you are having a boy or a girl, however as I have said repeatedly, do not hold too much faith in them, as they could be misleading you. You would not want to have a closet full of pretty pink clothing, to find out on giving birth you have in fact had a boy.

Now that i have told you about how to tell if your having a boy or a girl, wnader off and try out some of these theories. The cannot hurt you, and could be fun to try them out. However, wouldnt being able to tell if your baby you are having will be healthy and strong be more of a concern to you.

When one thinks of having a baby, one thinks of joy and smiles and a person who is going to be dependant on you. Having a baby is a miracle of life, and one to be treasured. So i say, do not worry too much about being able to tell if you are having a boy or a girl, just simply enjoy the fact you are having a baby.
