How To Swing A Golf Club

By Jason Taingahue
Are you a beginner in the sport of golf or just want to learn how to swing a golf club because you don't really know how too? Well keep reading on and I will show you a technique that could make you a better golfer, and ultimately give you a better swing. Who knows, maybe even the next tiger woods.

First of all when learning how to swing a golf club, we must get some clubs that we are comfortable with if we don't already have any and to do this we will go to our local golf shop and ask the assistant for the appropriate clubs. All good golf stores usually always have one pro or ex pro golfer in there that can help you with your enquiries.

Once we have obtained some suitable golf clubs, we are now ready to hit the golf course and learn how to swing a golf club.

Right the first thing that we need to learn when wanting to know how to swing a golf club is our stance is a very important part of our golf swing and we need a comfortable stance at that. So no matter if you are left or right handed the stance is as follows. Stand with the feet shoulder width apart and side on to the fairway. The stance is as simple as that.

The next step that we must master when learning how to swing a golf club, is the grip on the actual golf club itself and the grip is as follows. If you are right handed you take the left hand and wrap It about 2 inches from the top of the golf club with the thumb pointing down to the ground with a firm grip on the club too. Your grip should be on the rubber part of the golf club. Next, you take a grip of the golf club with the right hand and use the same pattern as the left one with the thumb pointing down to the ground. For left handed golfers the grips are the same but in a reverse pattern.

Now that we have the grip and the stance the next step when learning how to swing a golf club is to keep the back slightly over the ball, but straight as possible and keep an eye on the ball as well. And now we are ready to swing at the ball.

This is the final step when learning how to swing a golf club. Now we take the golf club and line the ball up moving the club slowly up into the highest point and then moving it down slowly just to the back of the ball without hitting it, always keeping our eyes on the ball from start to finish. This gives us some accuracy with our swing.

Now when we are ready to swing at the ball to hit it down the fair way we do it like this. Take the club to just above the head and swing at the ball, keeping an eye on it at all times through the entire swing. When the club hits the ball, swivel the back leg in and bend the knee slightly as well as raising your foot so that you are on your toes and then when the club comes back, go back into the natural position.

There goes your lesson on learning how to swing at a golf ball and remember you it takes practice to make this perfect, so be patient.
