How To Stop Your Period

You are wanting to know how to stop your period cycle, otherwise known as your menstrual cycle.

There are a few varying ways you can stop your period, so i will go into detail regarding some of these ways regarding how to stop your period.

The first is relatively obvious, although, not always a proven fact. When a woman gets pregnant, it is more than likely the case that her period will stop. Her cycle will change and there will be no bleeding or period for at least nice months. This nine months is the time frame a woman will in fact be pregnant for. Unless of course for some unforeseen sad circumstances she loses the baby, miscarries. While a woman is pregnant hormone levels change and do different things, one of these things is stopping her period, or menstrual cycle. Whichever you prefer to call it. Once the pregnancy is over and the baby has being born, a womans body will begin to return to normal, and she will once more have her period cycle return to her. However this may vary and take a while to settle. So from reading what I have mentioned about pregnancy and how pregnancy can in fact stop a woman from getting her period, it is also obviously clear, that being able to stop your period this way, is only a temporary stoppage or relief from having your period or menstrual cycle.

Now I will tell you a little about on how you can voluntarily stop your period for a given time using another method of approach. This approach is often used for woman who join up with Armed Forces and the likes. This is because when they go away for basic training or on a mission, they really have no time to be worrying about such things as tampons or sanitary pads and a period cycle. In situations such as this, a woman can and more often than not be prescribed a medication from a local or Armed Forces doctor. There may be other instances where this medication is also prescribed to stop your period. I have simply used the Armed Forces situation as an example only. This medication however cannot be purchased over the counter. You must pay a visit to a doctor and have a signed prescription from him or her. Once again, unless there is an underlying health issue going on, this medication is for temporary use in being bale to stop your period.

To the last option I am going to get into detail about. That is the option to in fact have a hysterectomy. Now this is a big step to take, and it is advised, if you choose or ant to take this measure to be able to stop your period you think long and hard about it, and maybe even discuss it with other family member. Because this is a medical operational procedure, you will have to discuss it in detail with your local doctor or gynaecologist. There are however certain criteria you have to fall under to be granted such a procedure in some countries. To know if you fit this criteria, it is suggested you speak directly with your local doctor or gynaecologist. However, this procedure will stop you from having a period again. Unfortunately for some women, they do not have much of a choice in this, as it could a procedure that will ultimately save their life or prolong it.

I have given you a couple of examples on how you can stop your period or menstrual cycle. If you wish to learn more about how to stop your period, I highly suggest you seek advice from a medical expert within your location.
