How To Remove Tree Stump

By Jason Taingahue
Have you had a tree cut down, but the tree stump is still there? Do you know how to remove a tree stump? If you don't know how to remove a tree stump then read on and I will explain to you how you can remove a tree stump. To remove a tree stump the way that I am gonna show is hard, but is the best way to remove one.

First of all when learning how to remove a tree stump we need to know how old the tree is and to do this we count the rings on the stump of the tree as one ring represents a year in the life of a tree. The reason we are doing this is so that we can see how old the tree is, the older the tree is the longer the roots have grown outwards from the tree, so this could possibly be a big job.

The next thing that we need to do when learning how to remove a tree stump is to get a few tools and the tools that I would use are a shovel, spade, pick, pinch bar and possibly an axe.

Now that we have the tools for learning how to remove a tree stump, the first thing that we need to do with the tools is grab the spade and shovel and dig around the tree looking for the direction that the roots are sprouting into. Once you have done this, you can dig around the roots and cut them down piece by piece with a pick or an axe, until you reach the end of the root. Do this with all the roots until the directions of the roots are no longer and you only have the stump to deal with.

Now the hard work really starts to come into play when learning how to remove a tree stump because now we are going to just keep digging down and around the tree stump, until we are almost right underneath the stump and the way that we can tell this is to put the pinch bar under the tree stump and wiggle it about and if the tree is becoming loose then you know that it is on its way out of the ground.

The final part of learning how to remove a tree stump is that you will eventually be able to get the pinch bar right underneath the tree stump and with a bit of man power you should be able to wriggle it lose so that it is ready to either carry out or be chopped up into pieces for carrying out as it may be to big to carry out by itself. Once you have it out and all the roots out of the ground, you can then put some dirt on the places that need to be filled in and be on your way because you have just learnt and practiced how to remove a tree stump.

I hope this method of learning how to remove a tree stump works for you as it did for me and be aware that this is the most common way to remove a tree stump. Also I hope that you are not afraid of hard work too, because this kind of work is very hard and can take its toll on the muscles if you have not done this kind of physical labor before and if you want to remove the tree stump that is bugging you then pre set your mind to tell yourself that you can remove it and you wont give up.
