How To Remove Hickies
By Jenna Litchfield Your loved one been sucking on your neck? Left unsightly bruise like marks? How do you remove hickies?
Who remembers getting hickies when they were young and desperately trying to hide hickies from their parents, I do and it is one of the most embarrassing things I have ever tried to hide or remove, especially with remarks such as "Gee that was a rather large mosquito that bit you!"
Love bites, love marks, large mosquito bites, hickies what ever you would like to call them hickies are a part of the dating ritual and you are bound to get one once in your life time no matter how old you are.
Hickies are usually caused by some one sucking on your skin for a long time or extremely hard, which in turn creates a little bruise or mark usually caused by the blood clotting.
Usually between two loved ones are these hickies created, sometimes they can be pleasurable for some people however afterwards there is no pleasure at all especially if you have a huge job interview the next day!
Well there is no way at all to actually remove hickies they just go away after time sometimes it can take days or weeks, however there just like a bruise, but there are ways to speed this process up and hide the hickies until they disappear.
A good way to hide hickies of course is by wearing make up, by using a good oil based concealer and foundation over top you can visible hide the hickie.
However using a yellow eye shadow over the top of the hickie then applying foundation can work as well.
So guys go raid your mothers, sisters make up box, however ask first and tell them why as it could look rather suspicious.
Another method to remove hickies is to lightly brush the hickie with a toothbrush to loosen up the clots under the skin, then cool it down with ice and repeat again if necessary.
However some say this is rumored to not remove the hickie, however experiment with all the different ways to remove hickies and see which one is best for you.
Hirudoid cream is a good hickie remover or fixer, as it is a proven cream used when you have bruises, usually given to you if the nurse or doctor at a hospital collapses your vein trying to get a needle in and a hickie is a bruise so why not try it next time your at your local pharmacist or drug store.
Also Icyhot is a good cream to put on to help remove them as well, or anything with menthol some say, toothpaste on the tooth brush is a good idea as well.
Another method to remove a hickie is to get a warm or however hot you can handle face cloth and massage the hickie for twenty minutes reheating the cloth as you go along. This helps to stimulate the blood cells and clots to loosen up and remove them selves from the surface of your skin.
But one very good way to remove hickies is to not get hickies at all or to get hickies in places where they cannot be seen! Other wise you could be wearing turtle necks and scarves in uncomfortable weather and people will definitely wonder why!
However please do not give hickies on genital areas as it could cause serious pain and discomfort.
So stick to non genital areas and places where they can't be seen and you should be fine and happy to carry on the hickie giving, I hope those ideas are enough to help you out should you need instant hickie hiding or ideas to remove them.
