How To Read Tarot Cards
By Polly Hamilton How to read tarot cards:
Tarot cards are a wonderful and accurate facet of spiritual healing, mind reading, etc, etc. They are so simple and easy to learn about and learn how to read that anyone can do them! That is, if you buy a packet of cards!
How to read tarot cards: How to obtain your cards:
Online, bookstores, novelty stores, etc, are good places to buy cards. You needn't spend too much. Once you've bought them, all you need to do is make sure you store them nicely. In a cloth or scarf is a good idea, and it's nice to buy a box to keep them in too. Once you've bought them keep them close to you when you sleep (under you pillow, beside your bed) for a week before you use them.
How to read tarot cards: Preparation:
Prepare your environment before you start to read tarot cards. Turn of phones, stereos (unless the music is suitable), TV's, shut animals outdoors, just make sure your environment is pleasant and relaxing. It's nice to burn incense as well. Also make sure you've given yourself plenty of time. Place your tarot cards on the surface you'll be working on. Think of some specific questions you'd like answered (I recommend three or less). Pick up your tarot cards and shuffle them while concentrating on your questions. Don't put the tarot cards down until you think you're ready, and shuffle them any way you feel comfortable.
How to read tarot cards: Dealing:
This is where I would recommend buying a book. There are so many spreads to choose from, some mean particular things, others are just for ease of reading. You can do pyramids or diamonds, squares rectangles, etc. To start with I recommend a four card diamond. Cluttering yourself with too many tarot cards may prove confusing. Once you are more familiar with the tarot cards and their different meanings you could try more complicated spreads.
How to read tarot cards:
Firstly just look at the tarot cards, don't worry about their meanings. Are any upside down to the reader? If so they are a negative tarot card and their influence may be weakened. If they are the right way up to the tarot card reader, then they are a positive tarot card. Then you need to begin looking at the tarot cards meanings. This is where it gets far to complicated to include in one article. There have been thousands of books written on it! There are many internet sites, as well, which can help you interpret your tarot cards. The trick is to learn to interpret a card and make them all fit together. This is especially interesting if you do someone else's reading and don't know the questions they want answered. It is a true test of the tarot cards honor when you answer questions you didn't know were being asked. Of course this is harder when doing your own reading because you are biased. Perhaps leave the answering of important questions to another reader, and focus on doing your friends and family for them.
How to read tarot cards: Tips:
In a four-card diamond, the top tarot card represents you romantic life, the right hand tarot card is finances. The lower tarot card is health and happiness and the tarot card to the left is your career. Don't let anyone else handle your tarot cards unless they are shuffling them. And don't let books or internet sites pigeon hole you, be free with your interpretations.
