There are exercises to suit every body type, and every individual, and the key is finding the one that is right for you. For those of you wanting to know how to prevent diabetes who might not have done any exercise for a while, both walking and swimming are relatively easy ways to get back into the swing of things. Walking is free, and is beneficial to all. Your local swimming pool is another area to think about. Even if swimming is not for you, they may have various keep fit classes where you can enjoy the social aspect of exercise.
Exercise by itself is not enough though, and if you are serious about wanting to learn how to prevent diabetes, you must take a hard look at your diet. There is no special diet to prevent diabetes. Rather, it is recommended you simply follow a nutritious and balanced diet as recommended for everyone, which means reducing fat, sugar, salt and calories and increasing fruits and vegetables, grains and such protein sources as fish and tofu.
