How To Ollie On A Skateboard

By Jason Taingahue
Do you own a skateboard, but don't know how to do any tricks? If you have just answered yes to this question then read on so that I can explain to you how to ollie on a skateboard.

An ollie is a trick where you can raise the whole skateboard of the ground for a little bit or just enough time to clear a foot path curb or an object that is in your way.

The first thing that we need to do when learning how to ollie on a skateboard is to get all the safety gear just in case you fall off the board learning how to ollie on a skateboard because it takes a lot of practice and this trick can be very frustrating causing you to fall off the board out of frustration. So get all padded up and then we are ready to learn how to ollie on a skateboard.

But before we learn how to ollie on a skateboard we will hold onto a wall or a bar for support so that we have a little stabilization while attempting to learn this trick and we will learn how to ollie on a skateboard fom a stationary position first.

When learning how to ollie on a skate board, we must take the right foot positioning on the skateboard, which is the right foot to the rear of the skate board and the left foot in the middle to keep the board steady. From this position of learning how to ollie on a skateboard we now take the back foot and have the toes of that foot on the skateboard where as the other part of that particular foot should be off the skateboard.

Now that we have this position while learning how to ollie on a skateboard the next part of learning how to ollie can be very complicated, so it will take a lot of practice. With your back foot partly off the board quickly push down the back of the board so that it is going to be flicked into mid air and at the same time that the board is in the air slide the other foot to the front of the board so that when the board hits the ground the back foot is at the back of the board and the front foot is at the front of the skateboard.

Well that is my lesson on teaching you how to ollie on a skateboard and believe me that this is no simple task when you start off learning how to ollie, so remember that patience and practice will help you to master how to do an ollie on a skate board. One day you may even be able to ollie over a car, but don't try that please unless you are a trained professional.

Well go and give it a go and once you become a bit more confident, the next step of learning how to ollie is learning how to ollie when the skateboard is moving and if you master that after hours of practice try to jump over objects, but make usre that they aren't to big, otherwise you may just be setting yourself up for an accident, and that is not what we want at all.
