Now that you have made sure you have a funnel cake pitcher ready for use, you will also need:

Once you have sifted all of these ingredients, you will then have to combine and mix them with the milk mix. Simply beat these together to make the mixture nice and smooth.

Your funnel cake mixture is almost ready for cooking. However before you cook the funnel cakes, you will need to heat up a pot of oil for cooking the funnel cakes in. If you think about it ahead of time, you can choose to have the oil heating on the element of the stove while you are in fact preparing the funnel cake mixture. If the mixture runs out too quickly, this means more flour is needed to be added to the funnel cake mixture. If it flows through the funnel cake pitcher too slowly, this means you will have to add a little more milk to your funnel cake mixture.

Once you have the consistency all sorted and how it should be, simply let drizzles of the funnel cake mixture run into your heated oil. You an make shapes or even spirals with the funnel cake mixture, that may otherwise be known as dough. Simply fry the funnel cakes on one side and the over and fry the other side of the funnel cakes until they are golden brown on both sides of the funnel cake. Once your funnel cakes are cooked on both sides, drain them and lift them out of the heated oil. Place them on a handy towel, or a serviette to drain any further excess oil away from them. While the funnel cakes are still warm, sprinkle and dust with castor sugar or icing sugar if you prefer.
