Making a free website is really easy to do there are so many companies that offer free websites on the Internet.
Most of them come with an array of packages to choose from ranging from free email addresses, to unlimited file usage.
Have a look on the Internet for free websites to see which one best suits you and your needs.
The free sites also usually come with advertising from the particular company that makes the free website, this is normally compulsory with the free websites as it pays for there fees and online costs.
Free websites usually have a limit on how much space you can use which varies from 15 mg to 100 mg even though there are a few free websites with unlimited space.
Basically the space your allowed is how much you can upload to the web page e.g. pictures and documents.

MSN groups are also a good free website to use if you have a group/club or community you wish to make a website about and share it to the world.
After choosing a free website, you now have the ability to make a free website that you can add almost anything to like photos, news, events and documents and show it to the world.
Don't be afraid if it all looks a bit daunting! Most free websites come with a page builder and or a wizard to help you get started.
This is easier if you do not know how to use HTML code, how it works is that they give you templates to use to make your site and instructions on how to upload your pictures and documents.
You can choose your images even animations and backgrounds, colors, fonts etc foryour free website, then you can type in your text, links and insert your graphics then the Page Builder or wizard makes your website for you.
Some free websites come with File Managers that you can use to make and modify your files and see how much space you have left also you can check your site statistics for example how much traffic (visits) your site each day.
There are also help files and tutorials incase you need help understanding how to make your free website and using the various tools and wizards that can come with it.
You can also have the option with most free websites to add on extra things to them, like page counters that count how many people have visited the site, guest books where people can leave messages and comments, your web cam footage, you can also make photo albums and or blog's and message boards
Usually with free websites you won't be able to make your own domain name but you can use the companies address then your ID or site name, for example with Yahoo's Geocities below
www.geocities.com/your Yahoo ID
or
www.yourname@freewebsites.com.
To make your own domain name you will probably have to pay a set amount of money which varies with each company.
But remember experimentation is the key, don't be afraid to try new things with your website as there is an endless possibility of ideas, colors and templates available for you to use to make your free website.
