How To Hypnotize People

By Jenna Litchfield
Hypnosis is very natural and can happen to people many times a day and it feels quite normal, and people might not even know it is happening.

However usually if people are hypnotized people will just feel relaxed mostly, the good thing about hypnosis is that people cannot get stuck in trances, it is almost like sleeping like a day dream people can always wake up because people are tuning in to one particular thing and nothing else, all other stimuli is ignored, much like reading a book or concentrating really hard on a particular activity.
Another thing is that any morals or opinions people had wont be lost while your hypnotized and you will mostly remember everything that is going on around you in the trance.
People are highly suggestible however and your imagination is wild, if it is suggested you are eating an ice cream you can feel the ice cream in your mouth and how cold it is.
When you hypnotize people it is not to be used to make the person hypnotized do anything harmful to themselves or to other people.

When people are hypnotized the sub conscious mind which looks after your bodily sensations like taste, touch, sight and emotional feelings leaves its door open and the hypnotist in theory is talking directly to it, they can trigger all the above feelings even when they are not there.
Also the subconscious stores all your memories so as I said above you can access memories hidden deep in your mind that have been forgotten.
It is also possible to change the person's memory so extreme caution must be taken when you delving into peoples minds.

Signs that the person is in a trance or hypnotized:

The eyelids will start to flutter and their eyes will go red and water, the muscles will relax and loosen and so will the facial muscles.
Breathing rates will change and arms and limbs will slightly be twitching and feelings of warmth, coolness and tingling sensations will be felt.

How to hypnotize people:
There are several different methods on how to hypnotize people but however they must want to be hypnotized, must not be afraid of being hypnotized and can feel comfortable and relaxed.

The most common ways to hypnotize people are:

Eye fixation
This is the method most commonly seen on television and in movies when the person being hypnotized as a pocket watch waved in front of there eyes.
Basically this works by getting the person to focus on the pocket watch and tune out all other stimuli basically tuning out anything.
As the pocket watch is waved to and fro in front of the person, the hypnotist talks to the person in low tones, which encourage the person to relax.

Rapid
This method involves overloading the persons mind with commands usually quite firm and sudden.
If the hypnotist is forceful enough the person will surrender their consciousness's control and be under the command of the hypnotist, this method is usually used on stage in front of big audiences.

Progressive relaxation
This is the most used method by psychiatrists and hypnotists by talking to the person in a low relaxing voice and calm the person down and fully relax them into full hypnosis.

Loss of balance
This method has been used by mothers over centuries and centuries by rocking their baby to sleep they are relaxing them.
This looses the person or babies equilibrium so just imagine being in a hammock and how quickly you relax.

Most hypnotizing sessions can last from thirty minutes up to an hour or more depending on the patient/person and why they are being hypnotized.
Most common reasons are to find a hidden memory, cure a habit like smoking and or cure mental problems or depression and the sort.
