So you are tired of having short hair or would just like a change, and you want to know how to grow long hair. Unfortunately there is no easy recipe so to speak in learning how to grow long hair.

You will come to discover that the best thing you can know about how to grow long hair, is to have patience and a lot of it. Learning and then actually trying to grow long hair can be stressful at times and may seem like hard work, and more often than not, anyone who has learnt how long it can take to grow long hair, will have at some stage given thought to giving up on growing long hair and simply wondered if they short go back to having short hair.

Why is this? you may ask. Well, as I said, one of the first things you absolutely must learn regarding how to grow long hair is patience. If you do not think you have enough of this, then I wouldn't even consider in the first place trying to grow your hair long. Hair is a relatively slow growing organism until it gets to a certain length, and then it can at times appear to grow long very quickly.

If you are starting to grow your hair long from having very short hair, you will in time begin to realise just what I am talking about. When hair grows it goes through stages of adjustment (so to speak) and can look out of place, too wavy, too straight, as if it wont sit right, or simply just a mess. When you learn how to grow your hair long, you will also have to learn to simply not care too much about how it looks at any given time, until you can do something with it. Quite frankly, at some stage during growing your hair long, it will look like it has no style what so ever to it. That is just a part of growing your hair long, and unless you change your mind about wanting to know how to and then being able to grow your hair long, there is nothing you can do about it. You will have to be strong, and not care too much about what others are thinking of your non-styled hair. This is just a phase your hair will go through when it gets to a certain length is all. Once your hair that you want to grow long is over this stage, it is all looking more positive in your quest in knowing how to grow your hair long.

While you are learning how to grow your hair long, you will also learn that you still need to maintain your hair at a hygienic level, just as you were doing when you had short hair. In fact the longer your hair does grow, the more care it needs. You will have to maintain the ends of your hair and keep all split or dry ends trimmed off. Having split ends will prohibit he rate at which your hair grows at, therefore it will take longer for your hair to grow long. You will also have to invest in a good brush and brush your hair at least twice a day. Keep your moisturised and clean and as tangle free as possible.

On discovering how to grow your hair long, you should also learn that if you make regular visits to your local hair salon for a trim, whether you have split ends or not, this will actually help your hair to grow longer faster. It is suggested that you go to your local hair dresser approximately every six to eight weeks to have the length of your hair trimmed. I am not sure why this is, but it does in fact make your hair grow faster. If you want to know more of the reasoning behind this method, I suggest you talk more with your local hairdresser at your local salon. She/he will be able to fill you in on the theories behind such a method an such care for growing long hair.

Now that I have given you a few pointers on how to grow long hair, are you up for the challenge? Do you have the patience and the strength to have a bad no style hair day or days? Can you ignore what others may say about the state of your hair? If in fact you have learnt all you need to know on how to make your hair grow long and you are quite happy that you can in fact make your hair grow long, I can only but wish you all the best in your quest.
