How To Get Rid Of Spyware

What is spyware! I want to get rid of it! How do I do it!
Spyware are programs that jeopardize your privacy by running in the background recording information about how you use your computer; this usually clogs up your computer and makes it run incredible slow.
How do they get on to your computer?
Usually by piggybacking onto your computer without your permission, usually through free software downloads, such as file sharing programs.
Usually the ones you use to download music or share files with your friends.
They can track what sites you have visited on the internet, what keystrokes (what you typed) were used and some times they can even record your passwords, and get your credit card information and email address's. Then they send the data back to their creators who can continue to send you pop ups or Spam emails and/or advertising products.
Pop ups are windows that "Pop" up on your screen from the middle of nowhere advertising a particular companies product, and they continue to pop up until you rid them from your system.
Which is also what Spam emails do, they are advertisers emailing you about products.
Spyware or Adware as it sometimes called is not illegal, but it is very annoying, and can cause major problems for computers if you do not rid your computer of spyware.
The easiest way of how to get rid of spyware is to download some good Anti spyware tools.
Some recommended program's to use to get rid of spyware:
Spybot Search and Destroy:
Patrick Kolla from a German Software company called PepiMK Software designed this free program to get rid of spyware and it is regarded as the most aggressive program available as it can find and get rid of adware that other programs can leave behind.
The program is free but donations are encouraged to support Patrick's work.
How this program works is that it searches your system and memory for " cookies " or spyware / adware then displays what programs it finds, what they are and what they do.
You then have the choice to eliminate these programs and rid them from your system.

Note: This program does not rid your computer of pop ups.
Lavasoft Ad-Aware:
Was designed by a Swedish company called Lavasoft, as above it searches your hard drive and memory and displays what programs or spyware it finds, you then have the option to quarantine all the concerning items and rid them from your system, the good thing about quarantining is how you have the option to bring back a file that might be needed in the day to day running of your computer in case you delete it.
Getting this program can be as easy as downloading it at Lavasoft's website which is www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download.
Another way of how to get rid of spyware is to make sure you check your free programs that you are downloading, and make sure you use trusted Anti Spyware software as some program's are sponsored by spyware and rid the computer of all other spyware in their scans apart from theirs.
Always remember to rescan your computer every week or more often if you like to keep your computer free of adware.
Another good program to download to help get rid of spyware is Norton's Internet Security however this is not a free program but is sure does it job.
As well as Anti-spyware programs you can also get trusted pop up blockers from reputable software companies such as Microsoft, Lavasoft and Symantec (makers of Norton Internet Security and Norton Anti - Virus)
to help get rid of those pesky pop-ups.
