How To Get Rid Of Rats

Knowing how to get rid of rats, can in fact save you a lot of grief and from headache. Rats are disgusting, dirty, disease riddle creatures that you do not want hainging around, so knowing how to get rid of rats is something of importance.
These little or in a lot of cases, big rodents, called rats, are horrible little buggers and eat almost anything. If you want to learn how to get rid of rats then read on, and I will show you a couple of methods to get rid of these pesky rodents. And these are the most preferred methods to learning how to get rid of rats too.
First of all when learning how to get rid of rats, we need to establish where they are coming from. There are various places that rats like to come from such as the barn yard, water or under the house.
Rats are scavengers and live in burrows in the ground. There living head quarters are usually full of about 1000 rats or more a time. They always come up into the surface to look for food and try to do it when you are not watching.
The first method that we will use when learning how to get rid of rats is to lay some poison in the area that the rat has been around. And to know exactly where the rat has been coming in and scavenging, we look for rat shit, which is very small and dark in colour. When rats steal food from where ever, they like to leave the after results of being full and that comes in the form of rat shit.
So once you have found out exactly where the rats have been scavenging from we can the start to lay some rat poison, in our attempt to get rid of the rats. You can get the rat poison from any good pet store. The poison has a scent on it that smells delicious to the rat and as soon as he gets a hold of that nice smell, they will come and look for it ad then try to eat it. Little does the rat know that this is poison and before he knows it he has gone to rat heaven.
This is a very successful method on learning how to get rid of rats, but if you are going to use this method, then please be sure that the rat poison is not where a child can see it. Young children think that everything is edible and especially if the shape looks like a lolly. So please bare this in mind. You do not want your children to get poisoned.
The next method that we can use when learning how to get rid of rats is to get a cat. Yep, get a big cat though, because in some cases the rat can be bigger than the actual cat. A cat can in fact manage to get rid of rats for you. An investment in a cat is a good idea. I mean of course you have to feed him, but at least he isn't scavenging in your cupboards or rubbish bags like the rat does. A good cat that has been fixed can be found at your local pet store and they are usually very well house trained as well before they actually leave the store.
Well I hope that these methods work for you when learning how to get rid of rats. Give one of them a go, or you can even use the both of these methods. What ever tickles you're fancy I say?
