How To Get Rid Of Pigeon

Maybe you are having problems with pigeons hanging around your back yard and you want to know how to get rid of one or more pigeons. If you read this article till the very end, you may well learn just how you can get rid of pigeons.
The first thing you will learn when you start to investigate how you can get rid of pigeons, is that you first have to get rid of the pigeon eggs. This will not be an easy task, as the mother pigeon will sit with the eggs at night, and the father pigeon will in turn sit with the pigeon eggs during the day. I suggest, you stand tall, be brave, and simply chase them away. Do not be afraid of a pigeon. Once you have managed to chase away the adult pigeon, simply remove the nest and the pigeon eggs and get rid of them both. This is a good start to knowing how to get rid of pigeons.
Now that you have gotten rid of the pigeon eggs, it is now time to block off any access to private hiding places. This is because these places are where pigeons like to nest. You will learn how to constantly watch a pigeon you are trying to get rid of, because it will continue to keep laying eggs. This, you do not want to happen.
Whatever you do, do not let the pigeon eggs hatch. If you let this happen, the pigeons will not leave. This is simply because it takes a good couple of months for the parent pigeons to teach the young baby pigeons how to fly. Obviously, if you can learn how to get rid of the pigeon nests and eggs before they hatch, the chances of you being able to get rid of the adult pigeons are far greater.
You will also discover when you learn how to get rid of pigeons, is that if a baby pigeon is born in a certain place, it will be that same place that the baby pigeon returns to the very next year to lay eggs of its own. Now, are you beginning to learn just how important it is to learn how to get rid of the pigeon nests and eggs?
There really is not point to just blocking off all access to the nest from the adult pigeons. Even if you do this and let the eggs die from being cold, the adult pigeons will always find a way back to their nest and lay more eggs.
When you research deeper into how to get rid of pigeons, you will learn that pigeons like to dig into rubbish bags that are left lying around. So in saying this, the obvious tip here is to, simply not leave rubbish bags around. Make sure your rubbish is kept in a shut up shed, with no access ways in to it. This will deter pigeons away from your property.
It is also that pigeons do not like silver and especially when it is shining in the sunlight. So it has been known for some to hang cds from a roof, strategically placed for the sunlight to hit them. This apparently deters the pigeons also.
Above I have given some brief details on how to get rid of pigeons, but what I must stress, yet again, is: The best and most effective way in knowing how to get rid of pigeons is to first get rid of the pigeons nest and the pigeon eggs.
