How To Fry Chicken

It is rather easy and simple to fry chicken. There are a couple of methods you can in fact fry chicken, it is knowing how you yourself prefer to fry chicken, that really matters.

Before you however begin to fry your chicken, you may want to put some time into preparing your chicken or chicken pieces first. Some added flavour or spices, or maybe some sprinkled chicken seasoning over your chicken that you want to fry, could be a preference of yours. You can purchase many ingredients from your local supermarket to prepare your chicken you want to fry with. Other alternatives are sprinkling a little salt and ground black pepper, maybe even using some dried herbs. Simply sprinkle what you choose over the chicken or chicken pieces before you begin to fry it/them. Another chosen favourite of some, is to in fact pre-crumb your chicken before you fry it. Knowing how to do this is relatively simple also. You can either opt for a pre packaged crumb mix, which takes no fuss, and requires no further ingredients. Simply coat the chicken you wish to fry in this mix. Or, you can beat a couple of eggs together, place these in a flat dish. Place some flour on a plate, and place some breadcrumbs (readily available from your local supermarket) on a plate as well. Then run your pieces under the cold tap, one at a time obviously. Dip and cover with some of the flour, roll and cover with the beaten egg, and then cover with the breadcrumbs. How easy is that? I never said this was going to be hard.

Once you have sorted how you would like your chicken to taste, with added flavours, spices, seasonings, crumbed or simply plain, you are now ready to know how to fry your chicken.

The first way of frying chicken, is to in a frying pan, place a reasonable amount of cooking oil. Enough to half coat the chicken will be sufficient, as you turn the chicken you are wanting to fry part way through cooking. Have the pan at a reasonable temperature, yet not to hot, to burn the outside of the frying chicken, and not cook the chicken on the inside. Uncooked chicken can and often does cause food poisoning, and you do not want this to happen. When you fry chicken, it generally takes up to at least twenty minutes or longer, depending on the temperature you are frying at, and how your stove works in itself. Once the underside of the chicken appears to be browned, turn over to fry and brown the other side. I tend to poke the point of a sharp knife into my chicken to let the juices run out. When you see the juices run clear and the chicken meat looks white, then it is more than likely cooked. If you are unsure if you have managed to fry your chicken for long enough, then I suggest you fry for a further five minutes, just to be on the safe side.

The alternate method is to use what we call a deep fryer kitchen appliance. These can be purchased from any appliance store locally in your area. However it is not a necessity to in fact fry your chicken with one of these appliances. Make sure you follow the frying and cooking guides that will be described in the manual provided. Each deep fryer has its own set temperatures and own frying and cooking guidelines. However, you will need to make sure you have enough cooking or frying oil in the deep fryer appliance to cover the top of the basket, that comes as part of the deep fryer. Other than that, how to fry your chicken is all set out for you, both in the manual, and no doubt on the outside of your deep fryer.

Once you have learnt how to fry your chicken, you will be able to share your secrets and tips on how to make yummy fried chicken with your friends and family.
