As I said, there are a couple of ways you can in fact freeze corn on the cob. This next method you can apply when you want to freeze corn on the cob, is often used when you buy bulk corn on the cob, and is relatively easy to do, and adopt for recurring use. All you have to do, is make sure you have an oven tray. On this oven tray, simply lay out your extra corn on the cob and cover with some gladwrap or clingwrap. Place this tray of corn on the cob within your freezer compartment overnight. This form of freezing corn on the cob is called free-flowing. It simply means you are freezing products individually, to then be placed into a bag all together. So once the corn on the cob has been on the oven tray in your freezer compartment over night, you can remove it from the freezer and remove all of the individual pieces of corn on the cob and place them into a freezer bag. The best form of freezer bag to use for freezing is one with a seal on it. This will keep any freezer ice from getting into the bag and therefore possibly causing freezer burn to your corn on the cob.
Another method you can opt to use when you want to know how to freeze corn on the cob, is to vacuum pac your corn on the cob. You can purchase an appliance that does just this for you. You simply place your pieces of fresh corn on the cob into a suitable plastic freezer bag and then use your vacuum appliance to suck out (vacuum) all of the air the freezer bag actually does contain and hold. The you simple seal off the bag, once again, with use of the vacuum pac and then place the bag within your freezer compartment.
