How To Draw A Star

The trick to learning how to draw a star is to first learn how to manipulate a simple shape, such as the triangle, to form objects. Below i will go into brief detail on how you can learn to draw a star.
We must look at the basic shape that makes up a star, which is a triangle. There are many ways to draw a triangle by making the 3 sides different lengths but let's first discuss how to draw a star and start from there. The simplest way to draw a star is to take a piece of blank paper and a pencil, draw a simple triangle on the paper, and make sure the point at the top of the triangle is pointing upwards. Then draw another star directly on top of the first triangle, this time make sure the point at the top of the triangle is pointing towards the bottom of the paper. The points at the top of both triangles should be directly opposite each other. Take a look at the finished product and you will see a simple star shape. You can color the star any color you want to make it look more effective or you could leave it the way it is, either way, you have just drawn a star. Whilst this is the simpler of stars there is another way to draw this star with one continuous line.
Starting from the left, draw a line diagonally up toward the right corner then down the other side, like drawing a triangle. Next you want to continue drawing that same line diagonally up towards the left corner of the paper then straight across, then diagonally down to the left corner of the of the paper. Although reading these instructions will show you how to draw a star it does take some practice but once you get it, you will wonder why you thought it was so hard in the first place.
There are other ways to draw a star and different ways to color them to make them seem quite complex, once again this is done by manipulation of a simple shape. You can even learn how to draw a star by using simple lines. Take another piece of paper and your pencil and draw a horizontal line and then a vertical line directly through the first line. Your lines should look like a cross. Next draw another 2 lines diagonally through your cross and make these lines shorter than the first 2 and these 2 lines should look like an X. The next thing you want to do is draw lines around the outside of the lines, or rather, draw a line around the ends of the lines so they all connect. Once you have joined these lines up you will get another great looking star. These stars look good just with the lines colored but you can color it in if you want. If you are drawing a lot of stars then just using the instructions above should be enough without adding in the lines around the outside. It is still an effective looking star with only the lines and nothing else.
If you want a star that really gets noticed then tries adding color around the outside of your star to make it really stand out.
