How To Cook Roast Beef

By Jason Taingahue
There are many ways when learning how to cook roast beef and the main one is that of the conventional oven. Although all ovens are different I can give you a few ideas when learning how to cook roast beef and these ideas can be manipulated to suit.

First of all when learning how to cook roast beef we need to set the oven to the appropriate setting. The average setting for a roast beef when roasting in the oven is to preheat the oven at 180 degree's Celsius. So turn on the oven setting about 5-10 minutes before we start cooking our roast beef.

Before we even learn how to cook our roast beef we must put some oil into a tray that is appropriate enough to fit our roast beef in. After we have done this we can then put our roast beef into the tray and into the oven.

BUT before we do that we may want to put some vegetables in our roasting dish too. So we will choose the appropriate vegetables to put into our dish, which usually consists of potatoes/kumara/pumpkins/yams etc.

After we have done this part of learning how to cook roast beef, we can then put the roast beef in the roasting dish too and stick it in the oven.

When learning how to cook roast beef, some ovens have fan bake on them and this means that the baking heat can be blown around evenly into the oven instead of slowly making its way evenly around the fan blows the heat around resulting in a faster cooked roast beef.

One of the key ingredients when learning how to cook roast beef once it is in the oven is timing. Generally it takes about 90 minutes to cook a roast beef depending on the oven.

I suggest taking a look at the time you put the roast beef in the oven and turning the roast beef over evenly every 15 minutes. This will stop it from sticking to the pan, which can happen sometimes. And if this happens, in any case the outer layer of the roast beef may stick to the tray, resulting in the skin being stuck to the bottom of the tray, which is a pain because to some people the skin is the most tasting part of the roast beef.

So make sure that you bare this in mind and the same care can be taken with the vegetables as well.

Now that we have the roast beef slowly cooking away in the oven and we have all the vegetables in there too, we can just wait and take down notes of how to cook a roast beef as we may want to show this to other people such as friends, just in case they have a different way of cooking roast beef. Exchanging ideas can be useful when learning how to cook a roast beef because sometimes cooking the roast beef the same way can become boring and have the same old taste time after time.
Anyway once you have all these basics of learning how to cook roast beef down and it is ready to move out of the oven and onto the plate, don't be afraid to invite me around too.

Hope this has helped in your quest to learning how to cook a roast beef
