I mean to say, there are plenty of crabs about, and they are cheap to come by as well. Just go to your local beach, and you will find plenty of these little creatures.
Now I have your attention on learning how to cook crab, lets go ahead and find the crabs first. Where can we find these little creatures and what type of crab is edible? First and foremost, when learning how to cook crab, we must learn which crabs are edible, as all crabs are not edible, so to do this we will obtain a book, or do a search on the internet on edible crabs. Another way to find out which crabs are edible, is to go to your local fish shop and ask them down there, they will be able to point you in the right direction, and after finding the most edible crabs, we can now learn how to cook crab.
Now that we have a crab that is edible, we can start preparing the crab for a scrumptious meal.
Most crabs have a shell like outer body, which has to be removed before we start learning how to cook crab. So the first thing we will do, is remove all the shell so that we have the inside of the crab ready to cook. After we have removed all the shell on the crab, we can now remove the parts of the crab that are not for eating purposes. The main part that we need to remove is any part of the crab that is not flesh or white meat parts.
The main part of the crab that has the most meat on it is the main body of the crab, and the crab's legs.
Once we have the white flesh parts of the crab, we are ready to learn how to cook crab, and below are a couple of examples of how to cook crab.
The first example we will look at when learning how to cook crab, is the pan fry. To do this we need a frying pan, and a little bit of butter or margarine in the pan. After we have our butter or margarine in the pan, we just take the meat of the crab and place it in the frying pan and cook the crab until the meat is golden brown. I recommend adding a little bit of salt, tomatoes and spring onion to give it that extra flavoring.
Once the crab meat is golden brown, serve it up with a nice side of vegetables for a delicious meal.
Next example when learning how to cook crab, is to barbecue crab. Yep, nothing like the old crab on the barbecue. Using the same process as above and adding a little bit of butter or margarine on the barbecue, keep turning the crab until it is golden brown, and as above, add some other vegetables for flavoring, such as spring onions/onions/peppers etc for that extra taste.
