How To Clean Leather

Well, keep further if you do have something leather that you need to learn how to clean.
When you first begin to learn how to clean leather, you will find out that leather in fact has to be cleaned regularly. You will learn how to use a soft cloth to dust the surface of the leather. A small tip for you, when it comes to knowing how to clean leather: Try using saddle soap, this works beautifully on all sorts of leather goods.
In addition to the above method, you will find once you get more into knowing how to clean leather, that there are other ways to also clean leather. You can opt to use a damp cloth, lather it up with some soap and wipe over the leather. Do not rinse this off, simply buff it dry.
You will also learn how to test ‘out of sight' spots on your piece of leather if you are using some form of chemical product or treatment. You do not want to rush in and cover your entire piece of leather with something that will in fact completely destroy it.
You will learn how to use a very small amount of rubbing alcohol with a cotton bud to help with removal of little stains on your leather. Simply dip the end of the cotton bud into the rubbing alcohol and swab onto the stain gently. You can rub this slightly if the stain is rather stubborn, but always take care. If this fails, it is also suggested that you can use non-oily cuticle remover. See, you have even learned how to use something from the makeup cupboard to know how to clean leather. Leave this on preferably over night and then wipe clean in the morning.
Learn how to mix up the recipe below and you will know how to remove everyday spots form your leather. For this recipe you will need:
1 part lemon juice and 1 part cream of tartar. - Mix these two ingredients together until they resemble a paste like substance. Once you have this remedy made up, work the paste into a cloth and then further work this into the leather. If the stain still does not nudge, leave the paste on the leather over night and then remove in the morning. The stain should now be gone from the leather.
Always remember to never place drying leather in the sunlight!
Now I will help you learn how to remove what is called: Road Salt form leather. You will need:
1 part water and 1 part white vinegar - Stir these two ingredients together ready for use. Simply dab a soft cloth into the mixture and coat the leather lightly. This will in fact remove all road salt form any leather, however bear in mind, if there is a lot of road salt, you may have to repeat a few times.
You need to know how often to wipe leather down - weekly at the least is what is suggested. The more you wipe leather down, the better it will be and the longer life expectancy it will hold.
