How To Build A Wood Fence

Do you want to know how to build a wood fence? Well if you have just answered yes to this question then read on and I will explain to you how you can build a wood fence. Its an easy way of learning how to build a wood fence and anyone can follow this method of learning to build a wood fence, so keep reading
The first thing that we need to do when learning how to build a wood fence is measure the distance that the fence will cover and then measure get a string line and spray paint a straight line to where that fence is going to be built.
The next step when learning how to build a wood fence is to measure out a distance of about 1-1.5 meters along the string line from start to finish, the reason for this measuring this distance is so that we get exact measuring placements for our main posts.
Now where the measurement marks are, dig out post holes at the same depth at every mark. Then after we have dug out the holes for our posts we can then get some posts that are all the same size and dig them into the ground, flush with the string line and all at the same depth. The size will vary depending on the size of the wood fence that you want to build.
Now that we are at this stage of learning how to build a wood fence, we can now measure about 2 inches from the top of the post down wards and we can also measure 2 inches from the bottom of the post upwards as well and do this to all the posts. Now that we have those measurements we can now measure just above and below the 2 inch marks that we made half the width of the front of our posts and join the lines up from top to bottom.
Now from those marks that we have just made, measure the distance from post to post using the width measurements at the top and the bottom of our wood fence. This will give us the measurements of the top and the bottom posts along the wood fence that we are learning to build.
The last thing that we need to do is get some wooden slats to nail onto the frame of our wood fence and to do this we will measure the fence up at even intervals that suit us and then we can choose any size that suits us for our finishing touches on our wood fence. Make sure that when you nail the wooden slats on that you have chosen when learning how to build a wood fence that they are all evenly spaced. There are a couple of ways that you can nail them on and the first one is the evenly spaced gap way, which means that there is a little gap between each slat. The other way is the over lap way, which is where each slat is over lapping each other through out the whole fence.
Which ever way you chose to put the slats on just make sure that it looks good and is the exact one that you want to build into the fence. Try to experiment a bit if you want when learning how to build some slats intoa fence, but remember that to make a fence look good, make sure that it is evenly spaced out. Just have fun and be creative when you learn how to build correct slats for the fence .
