How To Build A Kite
By Jason Taingahue Do your kids love kites or do you like them yourself and want to learn how to build a kite. Well keep reading on and I will show you a very easy way to build a kite. Building a kite is easy and can be lots of un, so get your children to help you when you start to build a kite.
First of all when learning how to build a kite, we need some equipment from the stationery store or sometimes we can even find some of the stuff that we need around the house.
When learning how to build a kite, we will make a list of things that we need to build the kite and they are as follows
Cello tape
String
Strong plastic sheet
Medium size bamboo sticks (2)
And some scissors
Big sheet of paper and ruler
Pencil or pen
Lets proceed to the next step of learning how to build a kite is to take the bamboo sticks and make a cross out of them, using the string to tie the cross in the middle. The size of the cross will be different, depending on your preferences.
Now we can take the big sheet of paper when learning how to build a kite and put the cross on it. We now use the ruler to draw from each point of the bamboo sticks, so that we come out with the outline of the cross, which should look like a cross. Once we have this cross, we can then proceed to the next step of learning how to make a kite and that is to cut the diamond shape out and put it on the plastic sheet and then cut that exact shape out of the plastic sheet.
The next step when learning how to build a kite is to put the cross on the sheet of plastic and tape it on there. You can tie it on there as well for extra strength.
Now, when learning how to build a kite, we can get the rest of the string and tie the end of it to the kite as well. Now we can draw some designs on the kite or just let the kids go crazy and draw whatever they want on the kite so that when they fly it up in the sky it looks really effective.
There is a very method to learning how to build a kite and it doesn't have to be in the shape of a diamond either. The shape can be anything, so long as there are supportive sticks or bamboo to hold the kite together then anything will do when learning how to build a kite.
And the best time to fly a kite once you have made the kite is when there is a lot of wind about. Otherwise I would suggest that you go to the beach were there can be a lot of breeze down there to fly your kite too.
One more last suggestion in learning how to build a kite is go to a stationary shop and ask the store assistants for some help. I mean that's what they are there for anyway, so go ask them and don't be shy.
Well I hope that shows you some basics on how to build a kite. It's a very easy to follow step by step guide.
