How To Build A Dog House

Do you have a dog that stays inside all the time and leaves that stinky dog smell in the house. There is a simple answer for this and that is that you need to learn how to build a dog house. So keep reading on and I will explain to you how you can build a simple dog house.

The first thing that we need to do when learning how to build a dog house is to get a base for the actual dog house it self first and this will vary, depending on the size of the dog. A good base for a dog should be raised a little and you should use a solid piece of board as well.

Now that we have a base, the next part of learning how to build a dog house is to measure up some sides and a back for the dog house and nail them on appropriately, remembering that we need a door on the front of the dog house as well. Once the sides, back and front are on we can then move to the next step of learning how to build a dog house and that is to put a roof on the top.

When learning how to build a dog house we must have a good solid roof on the dog house and the roof has to be high enough so that the dog can move around in there. So for a roof I would choose to use some old corrugated iron that doesn't have any holes it, because we want to be able to protect the dog from the rain as well. Use nails to nail the roof on as well and make sure that it is on securely too.

Now there is one last part that you need when learning how to build a dog house and that is the dog run. The dog run is made so that the dog can move around a bit and to make the dog run we need some slatted boards that are about 2 meters in length and raised a little so that the run is equal height with the dog house. Now put some posts at each corner evenly and also in the middle and put wire meshing around the posts so that it is secure. Don't worry about a covered roof when you learn how to build this part of the dog house as the dog will go into his actual dog house if its to wet for him or her.

Now for the last part when you learn how to build a dog run for a dog house, make sure that you have a front gate at the beginning of the run so that the dog can get in and out and place the dog run onto the dog house so that they are in sync with each other too.

Well there you go, you have learned how to make a dog house and it isn't that hard is it. Don't be scared to tell your friends how to make a dog house as well using this method too. As you can see when you learn how to build a dog house, it has to be built to the size of the dog which is why I haven't included any measurements.
