How To Boil An Egg
By Jason Taingahue If you want to learn how to boil an egg, then read on. It may sound very simple, but there are a few simple to follow tips, that would be very handy to know when learning how to boil an egg.
Firstly we must obtain some eggs to boil, and to do this we should go down to the supermarket and find the particular egg that we want to boil. There are all sorts of eggs to choose from, and there are all different sizes of eggs as well, so choose an egg to suit your self.
Once you have the egg or eggs that you want to learn how to boil, we can now move to the next stage of learning how to boil an egg. This is where we get a pot that is big enough to fit the egg or eggs in to.
We can then put some water into the pot. Fill the pot so that it covers the top of the egg or eggs, and a little bit of extra water is always better then not enough. After we have done this part of the process in learning how to boil an egg, we can then put the pot on the element, and this is before we put the eggs into the pot.
We then turn the pot of water onto high, so that it boils fast and as soon as it boils, take it off the element and carefully place the egg or eggs into the pot, so that they don't break and then return the pot to the boil.
We are nearly at the end of learning how to boil an egg. As soon as the pot boils with the egg in it, turn the heat down and let it boil for about 3 minutes on a steady boil, so that the boiling water doesn't spread over the side of the pot.
After three minutes the egg is boiled nicely, and can be taken out of the pot, but to do this we must carefully run some cold water into the pot until it is full of cold water, and has all the hot water drained out. Then let the egg stand for about 5-10 minutes, and there you have it, how to boil an egg has become, now I can boil an egg.
There are a few tips that I can give you as well when learning how to boil an egg. That is that if you want your egg to be runny when it comes off the boil, and is ready to eat, then only boil it for 2 minutes, and then take it off. Otherwise if you want your egg well done, then boil the egg for about 4-5 minutes at the most, and then take it off the heat. If you want a well done egg and you use this method, remember this. The more we boil an egg, the more the nutrients that are in the egg are going to be sucked out.
Well those are simple methods and the tips on how to boil an egg. That really is all that you need to know, when learning how to boil that very thing that comes from a chickens back side - another words, an egg!
