You will also learn how to pick a good flight school, by simply looking at the interior of their offices etc. A clean and well groomed office, usually is a tell tale sign of well maintained planes and this is very important, for safety measures obviously. You will also learn how to tell a good flight school, by judging how many instructors work on site. If there appear to be too little, then maybe you should opt away from this flight school, and seek another flight school to attend where you can learn how to become a pilot. This is basically because the fewer the instructors, the less likely it is for you to get a lot of attention and a lot of flying time in once you learn how to become a pilot.
Always take into consideration that you are paying a lot of money to learn how to become a pilot, so if you consider the training you are receiving in learning how to become a pilot inadequate at any stage, by all means voice your complaints immediately.
When you first get into finding out how to become a pilot, you will also learn that a full medical examination will have to take place. Once again, this is obviously for safety measure, one of your safety and also that of any instructor that flies with you , while you are being taught how to become a pilot.
Your instructor at the flight school will teach you all you need to know about how to become a pilot and will encourage you to complete the full forty hours of flight time you in fact have to complete to finally become a pilot. Once your flight instructor feels you are ready to sit the required examinations to finally know how to become a pilot, he will schedule this for you. However you will also have to have had a logbook endorsement from both your flight and your ground instructor. A Federal Aviation Administrator will give you this examination, not your flight or ground instructor.
On completing this examination and passing it with flying colors, you will be granted and given your pilots license.
However, there is no point to even considering learning how to become a pilot unless you are over 17 years of age. If you are younger than this and really are interested in learning how to become a pilot, maybe you can research the interest a little in the meantime and when you have reached the age of 17, come back to the thought and look more into how to become a pilot then.
