You have given thought to maybe becoming a nurse and working in the medical profession. So, if this sounds like you and you need to know more on how to become a nurse, then this article is for you. The first thing you will learn when you look into how to become a nurse, is that you will need to have a good education to successfully become a nurse.

A Licensed Practical Nurse will have to study and training for at least a period of twelve months. This learning can take place at any vocational school, college or hospital. When you learn how to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will in addition learn that you will have to pass an examination at the end of the twelve month period and if you pass, will more than likely be able to work within a hospital but underneath supervision from a Registered Nurse, and the responsibilities given to you will be minimal.

In addition to finding out about how to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will also learn about how to become a Registered Nurse. When you learn more about how to become a Registered Nurse, you will learn how a Registered Nurse holds far more responsibility once she is qualified an has passed all of the exams necessary for working in a hospital facility as a Registered Nurse. You will in addition learn that a Registered Nurse does in fact obviously earn more on becoming qualified.

However, on finding out more about how to become a Registered Nurse, you will also learn that a lot more study and training is involved in learning how to become a Registered Nurse. However becoming a Registered Nurse can in fact be very rewarding.

There are a few levels involved in becoming a Registered Nurse, so I will briefly detail how you can learn to reach each of these levels on learning how to become a Registered Nurse.

To become a Diploma Registered Nurse, you will have to be prepared for three years worth of study and training. This is generally done through a hospital.

To gain an Associate Degree in Nursing, you will learn how you have to focus more on the technical side to nursing as opposed to nursing theory. This training and study take a shorter period of two years as opposed to the three year period for becoming a Diploma Registered Nurse. As soon as you pass your State Exams at the end of the two year time frame you can begin to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse.

You can also learn how to become a nurse with a Bachelors Degree. To do this, you will learn that you have to be prepared to study and train for a period of four years. However in the long run, this is well worth it, both in job satisfaction and for financial reasons.

Of course, furthermore to what I have briefly detailed above, you can learn more about nursing and how far you can take a nursing career. You can in addition about how to get your Masters in Nursing.
