How to bake salmon:

Some people are afraid of cooking salmon: it looks complicated, it can be expensive, and what if you don't like the taste? It doesn't have to be complicated, you don't need to eat it often, and salmon always tastes delicious! Here are some handy tips on baking salmon, and a scrumptious recipe for your to put your know how into action! Salmon is almost always easy to cook. It's generally the added details that make it difficult, so it's just a matter of choosing the appropriate side dishes. Salmon is also a versatile food to bake: you can eat it with bagels for breakfast, salad for lunch, and roast vegetables for dinner, and it always tastes great! You can also prepare for baking before you need to bake it, as long as you store it at the right temperature. For example, you might add all the ingredients the night before then dinner's ready to be baked when you get home from work the next day. And don't forget, salmon is a healthy food!

How to bake salmon: in foil
Tear a piece of foil large enough to wrap around your piece of salmon easily. Sit your salmon inside the foil, and put all other ingredients in and around it (butter, vegetables, wine, garlic, etc). Wrap the salmon (or any fish you wish to bake) securely and place in the oven. It will bake evenly, and all the juices will stay in and around the salmon keeping it moist and flavorsome.

How to bake salmon: in a roasting tray or dish
This is the same concept as above; only you can use a lid and take it off halfway through cooking. Some people prefer to leave the lid of for the entirety of baking. If you do this you should add extra liquid at the start so your salmon doesn't dry out.

How to bake salmon:
Ingredients:
4 medium salmon fillets, descaled
1 lemon
carrots and leeks, very finely sliced
dry white wine
butter
melted butter
salt and pepper to taste
four pieces of foil for baking in

To bake: Pre heat the oven to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Cook the carrot and leak in a saucepan for 5-10 minutes (using some butter, not water).
Use half of your vegetables to spoon onto the four pieces of foil. Sit your salmon fillets on top of the vegetables, then spoon the rest of the vegetables on top of the salmon.
Season with salt, pepper, wine and lemon juice.
Fold over you little packets so they are all secure. Place on a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes until your packages have puffed up slightly.
You can then serve them on plates, or give to your guests to open. This is nice because they can then enjoy the delicious aromas before eating!

How to bake salmon:
Remember: when buying salmon, the less smell the better. Be creative, many flavors work well with baked salmon. Search the internet and cook books for interesting ideas. You'd be surprised how simple it can be to cook, it's hard to go wrong with salmon!
